Chronic pancreatitis and the intestinal microbiome in adults and children: Not only SIBO but also gut dysbiosis has clinical significance

چکیده
Chronic pancreatitis is accompanied by both small intestinal bacterial overgrowth and dysbiosis of the gut microbiota. The most typical changes in microbiota chronic are a decrease microbial diversity, an increase abundance Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, especially butyrate-producing bacteria such as Faecalibacterium , significant association with infectious pathways (KEGG analysis]), concomitant metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus) exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Changes children like those adults characterized α-diversity loss shortchain fatty acid producers: Subdoligranulum Eubacterium propionate-producing Phascolarctobacterium acetate- lactate-producing Collinsella probiotic Bifidobacterium . Dysbiotic microbiome, including commensal symbionts, significantly associated severity pancreatitis. important factor influencing function, which leads to switch from enterotype 1 ( Bacteroides predominance) 2 Prevotella phylogenetic diversity (α-diversity index). Modulation dysbiotic can be carried out probiotics, prebiotics, metabolites butyrate, enzymes should become full-fledged therapeutic option patients

Chemotherapy-driven dysbiosis in the intestinal microbiome.
BACKGROUND Chemotherapy is commonly used as myeloablative conditioning treatment to prepare patients for haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Chemotherapy leads to several side effects, with gastrointestinal (GI) mucositis being one of the most frequent. Current models of GI mucositis pathophysiology are generally silent on the role of the intestinal microbiome. AIM To identify fu...

“Not Only . . .But Also”: Quantitative and Critical Geography
This article argues that the binary between quantitative and critical geography is pseudo rather than real. The duality arose, the article suggests, because of the peculiar postwar intellectual history of human geography in which the critical approach followed the quantitative one. Accordingly, for internal sociological reasons, it was necessary for the critical approach to excise everything th...
متن کاملNot Only What, but Also How Matters Introducing Procedural Utility: Not Only What, but Also How Matters
People not only care about outcomes, they also value the procedures which lead to the outcomes. Procedural utility is a potentially important source of human well-being. This paper aims at introducing the concept of procedural utility into economics, and argues that it should be incorporated more widely into economic theory and empirical research. Three building blocks of a concept of procedura...
متن کاملDysbiosis of Gut Microbiome and Its Impact on Epigenetic Regulation
High throughput methods have increased knowledge about the epigenome and microbiome, and allowed determination of the plausible link between the gut microbiome and epigenetic modification of the host. This has shed light on the development of various diseases such as immune-mediated, metabolic, and cardiovascular diseases, and even cancer. Dysbiosis, imbalanced gut microbiome which is frequentl...
